100 Days of News is my graduate school thesis project at NYU Tisch School of the Arts: Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP), where I created animated illustrations of a news story a day.  As a research project, I wanted to explore the problems and possible solutions in 'our relationships with the news,' as well as the beginnings of my analysis to map out the landscape of news media today. The illustrations all together create a data art timeline of key events of the first 100 days in 2018 that shouldn't be forgotten in our fast-paced news cycle.

DAY 13 / January 13, 2018 / An emergency missile alert warning was sent to cellphones across Hawaii on a Saturday morning causing many locals and tourists to take cover for shelter. The warning was set off by human error and took 38 minutes to revoke the alert.

DAY 44 / February 13, 2018 / Boston Dynamics released a video showing their flagship robot, the SpotMini with a new trick. The new video demonstrated that the four legged machine can now open doors.

DAY 32 / February 1, 2018 / Jeff Bezos of Amazon, Warren Buffett of Berkshire Hathaway and James Dimon of JP Morgan Chase announced on January 30th that they would form "an independent health care company to serve their employees in the United States" with the hopes of trying to improve the health care system with a focus on technology.
